Inanna — Matte Canvas Print

Inanna by Brooklyn HeartyNHB, reproduced on matte stretched canvas. This print presents the artist’s human-made design in a square format, with a 1.25-inch-deep profile and hanging hardware included.

Inanna

Inanna brings an ancient Mesopotamian relief into conversation with the eight-pointed star associated with the goddess. The star occupies the boundary between darkness and the surviving image of an ancient world.

I wanted to explore the persistence of divinity across time, how symbols survive the civilizations that gave them form, and how their meaning continues to change. Something of the goddess remains, even when the world that worshipped her is gone.

Choose 12 × 12 inches for a smaller wall or grouped display, 20 × 20 inches for a more prominent placement, or 36 × 36 inches to give the work a wall of its own.
